Democrats more informed than Republicans

As our tag line suggests Republicans are not very interested in facts, instead relying on their on personal opinion as fact enough. The problem is that this means they tend to be highly uninformed. This explains how incoherent their arguments are when you try and debate them.

The Pew Research Center put together a poll last year to find out where partisans get their news from and it proves my theory. Democrats make up a third of Fox News viewers and almost half of CCN, MSNBC, and Nightly Network News viewers, while Republicans barely beat out Democrats for the share of Fox News viewership and are less than a fifth of the viewership for the other three sources. The chart below shows just how woefully uninformed Republicans are. Keep that in mind next time you try and have a rationale discussion with one.
