Conservatives seem to have no end to the laundry list of things that hate but the one I just can't figure out is their dismissal of science. From Global Warming to Vaccines, or Carbon dating to Evolution, Republicans are willing to shun the overwhelming scientific evidence and rely on their beliefs instead. They often do this using one example which they think then proves all the other scientific information wrong. Just imagine if all I had to do was come up with one reason why God didn't exist.
What I really don't understand about this is how their belief (or non-belief as it were) seems to be tied to their religious beliefs. Since the Bible says the is only 6,000 years old somehow that trumps all the other scientific evidence to the contrary. I'm guessing that most conservatives don't know that the big bang theory was actually though of by a Priest. Why is it that God can't be a scientist and the good book just got it wrong. Wouldn't it be more impressive to think that God didn't use magic to create life but instead uses a superior intellect to design the human race and the other mysteries of the universe?
If Republicans were smart they would brand God as the end all of scientific knowledge instead of a less bombastic David Blaine?
